MIFI reimburses $9 per school day, per child, for your childcare costs. Payments are made once a month.
To be eligible for reimbursement of childcare costs, you must meet the following conditions:
- having one of the following immigrant statuses: accepted refugee/protected person, international student, temporary worker, permanent resident, naturalized Canadian citizen
- Attending the course on the days for which you are claiming reimbursement. For example, if you are attending classes from Monday to Wednesday, and your child goes to childcare from Monday to Friday, you will only get reimbursement for 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).
