Do I need to speak French to participate in intercultural twinning?

To be a host twin, yes.

To be a newly-arrived twin: the simple answer is no, not necessarily. However, it’s ideal to have at least started French courses to facilitate communication. Even if your host twin also speaks English or another language, one of the objectives of the program is to enable you to practice French!
