What level of French is required by immigration for a Canadian citizenship application?

To apply for Canadian citizenship, you must complete Level 4 of francization. This level corresponds to Intermediate Level (Level/ Module 2). To apply for permanent residence on the basis of Quebec experience, Level 7 must be completed.  This level corresponds to the Advanced Level (Level/Module 4).
