In 2023, CANA and Pause Famille developed the Shower for newcomer moms initiative to raise awareness of the issues faced by newcomer moms who are pregnant and\/or have an infant living in the boroughs of Ahuntsic-Cartierville and Montr\u00e9al-Nord.
\nThe project had 3 major objectives :<\/p>\n<\/div>

\nRaising awareness of the issues experienced by these moms, notably through the deployment of an awareness campaign and an event: The Shower for new mothers, which took place on Saturday, September 16, 2023.<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>
\nThe design of 50 birth gift sets so that 50 mothers can welcome their babies in the best possible conditions.<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The creation of safe, intercultural meeting places where mothers could talk freely about motherhood and their life experiences, thus promoting social inclusion and strengthening solidarity between mothers.<\/div><\/div><\/div>
